Be Thou At Peace

Dear Katie and Del Castillo family, We are sending you all a soft shoulder and a big hug to hopefully bring you a small measure of peace. Liz knew Dimitri well and tells me of his warm smile, great laugh and wonderful countenance. She tells me of him and Katie helping Danny L move down the beach last fall; and just recently talking and joking with him over his birthday. As everyone knows, he died a true hero, in his quest for support, laying down his life to save his friends. Gone way to soon with so many bright days ahead. May God bring you some peace in this unexplainable tragedy. Katie, many blessings to you, may you, his family and friends keep your fond memories of him in your heart. Hope Liz and Sara were able to bring some comfort at the funeral. Wish I could have been there to offer them and all of you support as well. He and the soldiers from the 3/25 ID will continue to be in our prayers. Many blessings, Carol Schubert |
