To the Family and Friends of LT Runkle: Today, in searching for words that capture the essence of this Memorial Day, I found the following, from Thucydides: "The bravest are surely those who have the clearest vision of what is before them, glory and danger alike, and yet notwithstanding, go out to meet it." No words that I can summon do a better job of describing the service and sacrifice of John and his soldiers. May they all find Eternal Rest. David Eisenlohr '07 Parent |
