Be Thou At Peace

Posted by 1LT Emily Sfeir on August 26, 2011:

Tim and I were classmates, we had met in English class during our plebe year and would worry about our essays because our instructor was a hard grader. We ran into each other again at camp Buckner where he was my 1SG, and I a squad leader in the same company. Tim was always motivated and always worked hard. Buckner 2 is the roughest detail to be cadre for and yet Tim got the whole company through it. He always held his head high and motivated the rest of us. I ran into him again at Ft. Benning. He was amongst the best performers in our platoon. He was excited to go to ranger, and to have an opportunity to serve. He had also recently found out his wife was pregnant and was excited about it. He spent a lot of time talking about his plans and always looked forward to the end of the workday to go home to his wife. I am deeply saddened by this loss. Tim was a role model for his peers. Everyone I know looked up to him to include myself. I am deeply sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Well Done Tim, Be thou at peace brother.
