Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Marianne Capozucca on August 27, 2011:

How did we lose you? You were so smart, so strong, so purpose driven. I imagine you up in the clouds saying " What the heck happened?" How did we lose you? Who will walk your little girl down the aisle some day?

I knew you first from the Duxbury Swim Team and early reports of your death mentioned only cross country. What about the Duxbury Swim Team I kept thinking? Now they are mentioning the swim team. It was the winter of 2004 & my son Miles was excited telling me about going to Duxbury beach in the snow, running into the water & making snow angels while wearing bathing suits. I know that Coach Craft is weeping these days, as I am. You also went running as a team through the halls of Duxbury High School wearing only swimming trunks until someone yelled "put some clothes on and NEVER come into this school again." The good old days. Thank you for making my son happy & making him feel special. You were a senior & he was a freshman. He weeps for you from Turkey. How I wish he were here for me to hold him.

My dearest thoughts, sympathy & love to your whole family. Especially Theresa & Anne who know Miles & James.

There is an Italian saying that goes, " I shall love you from the heavens like I loved you when on earth."
