Be Thou At Peace
Posted by Carlos del Castillo on July 31, 2012:
Mr. and Mrs. Jacobs, My sincerest condolences for your loss. I know that my words will not give you the peace you seek. Hopefully they will, at sometime, help to honor your son in a meaningful manner. I am thankful for young men and women like Sean Robert. They are the ones that remind us of what is best in our country. The truly selfless individuals that courageously answer the call of duty in defense of our great country and her constitution. We will always be in their debt. Your pain is unimaginable to most. Your longing will not be understood but by a few. Take the time to grieve. Be there for each other. Your son was doing what he wanted to as a leader. Be proud of his decision and always honor that part of him. I wish I could be there to hug you and tell you that we care for you. I shed tears for you and for your son. You will see him again one day and the joy will be immense. Until that rightful and appropriate time remember his wonderfulness and tell his story to all.
sincerely,
Mr. Carlos del Castillo...Father 1st Lt. Dimitri del Castillo- USMA Class of '09 KIA 25 June,2011, Kunar Province, Afghanistan
