Be Thou At Peace

| Your dear Byron was an example of what is good and honorable in the young people of our country today. While his personal sacrifice of service to our country is much appreciated, I wish to also recognize the great sacrifice of all of those of you, his family members, who lent him for a time to a grateful nation. Three of our children serve in the Army, two fellow West Pointers and one ROTC grad, and I know and understand well your own personal sacrifices of precious time with your dear one given up while he was being educated, training, and otherwise serving, and I thank-you each for that as well. May Our Lord's Comfort be particularly sweet to you all. With Deep Sorrow for your loss. |
