Be Thou At Peace

| Our hearts were connected on R-day, 2009. We have walked the same walk with you for the last 4 1/2 years. As USMA parents, we sat through the speech on R-day telling us how wonderful our sons and daughters were. How it takes a true warrior to sign up in a time of war..... We celebrated their successes. We have all prayed for the safety, well being, and success of the cadets. We may have even stood beside you during one of the many celebrations at West Point. (R-day, A-day, Plebe parent weekend, a football game, a parade, or during graduation.) There is nothing that can prepare you for the news that you have received and I am sorry that you had to hear it. My heart has been breaking for you since I heard the news. Just as we have already stood together, I will be standing beside you in my prayers. They will hold your family and friends during these very difficult months ahead. Heaven received a true hero in Terence. |
