On behalf of the Officers and crew of the USS DECATUR (DDG-73); We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to Todd's family, friends and the Corps of Cadets. As the beloved brother of our shipmate, ENS Robert Heuchling, Todd is considered a part of DECATUR's extended family. Although we have not had the pleasure of knowing Todd personally; we honor his memory, his patriotism, and sense of duty to country. To Mr. and Mrs. Heuchling; While we can offer no words to ease your pain, please know that the thoughts and prayers of our crew are with you. At the same time, we are so pleased that Robert was able to get back home to where he belongs during this difficule time - sharing in the comfort of family and friends. May God bless and sustain your family as you rejoice in the memories of a such a remarkable young man. |
