Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Roger and Dianna Mathews on August 27, 2003:

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you, and to all of your family in this dark hour of grief. We also share your grief in our hearts and are constantly lifting you up in prayers to the Lord...that He may hold you and comfort you.

Our son is also in the class of 2006. He has served beside your son in company B2. He roomed just a few doors down from him. Your sons life has deeply touched his...and so many other cadets in the corp. I hope you can find some deep comfort in knowing that your son was such an incredible young man, and that his life has touched so many.

Distance does not permit us to attend the funeral on Thursday, but please believe that you will be in our constant thoughts and prayers not only throughout that day, but throughtout the next months as you and all your family experience and work through this great loss. Our son considers it a great honor to be able to participate and attend. He will be serving you...your family...and your son as one of the pall bearers. He knows and understands the reverent and precious job he has been allowed to do and hopes that you and your family find some comfort in knowing this.
With much love and respect...Roger and Dianna Mathews
