Be Thou At Peace

Born in Connecticut on March 4, 1918, General Moody graduated first in the United States Military Academy class of 1941. While serving as Assistant Division Commander, 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile) in the Republic of Vietnam he died of a heart attack on March 19, 1967. During his long military career, General Moody was the recipient of the Distinguished Service Medal, the Legion of Merit with two oak leaf clusters, the Air Medal with six oak leaf clusters the Bronze Star Medal, the Army Commendation Medal and the Purple Heart Medal.

His body was returned to the United States where it was interred in Section 3 of Arlington National Cemetery.
