Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Simuel Jamison on January 9, 2013:

Carlise and I served together at Fort Hood, TX during Operation Desert Storm (1991). We would hang out and play scrabble together after she fed the girls and put the Little Mermaid movie on for the girls to watch. A wonderful contageous smile that I can still see. She would accompany me to the animal shelter and the horse stables on post and sometimes stop by my office so that we could chat. I really enjoyed my time with her and remember her as a very vibrant, smart, honest, and worderful person. Truly, the right adjectives don't exist. I miss my friend and have not had one like her since. Love you Carlise. I am reading the book, The Shack, and I think of you as just on the otherside of the rock and the otherside of the waterfall.
