Be Thou At Peace

Rudolph St. Peter Damien Samuel was my friend. Rudi and I were roommates for both semesters of plebe year in E-2 at West Point. During re-orgy week our 3rd roommate was Mike Bagg as head mail clerk and I think Rudi was chief minute caller. Lots of special attention that week. Rudi and I wanted to spend the second semester as roommate too. We got along that well. Bob Quinn joined us. Many hours around campus also with Vince Bryant and Sam Piper. Good times and good memories. Rudi branched Armor and whould have had no other branch even if offered. He wanted to be a tanker. Sadly Rudi was killed in Germany in a traffic accident. I miss him and the world is a lesser place without him. Well Done, Be Thou at Peace. |
