May 27, 2005 Dear Jen, It is with a very heavy heart that I write this letter of condolence to you and to your family. There are no words to describe my sad reaction to the news about Doug. With shame, I grieve for myself for the squandered time when I fell out of touch. I will pray that time goes by fast for you and your children so you heal from this cruel trauma. Doug was a wonderful person and a great friend. He was a jewel - intellectually honest, open, a lover of life. I am going to try to be more like him. |
