| CPT Sperandio was my Commander in D Co. 1/14th AV BN at Hanchey AAF, Ft. Rucker, Alabama, when I retired in September 1993. Doug was an excellent commander and officer, and I was saddened to read about his passing. D Company was very tight, and it was the tip of the spear for AH-64A training in the US Army. It was my last assignment before retirement, and Doug was one of the nicest commanders I've had the pleasure to serve with. My sincere condolences to his wife and family. I am very sorry for your loss. He was a great friend to many of us, and he will be missed. |
