Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Uncle Jeff Dyer on September 21, 1999:

Joe Dyer IV left behind a family that will always remember what a very fine young man he had become. None of us can ever know what Joe was thinking about last January. In the long run it doesn't matter very much. I will always remember Joey as my nephew who was full of life, had a great sense of humor, was a gifted student and wonderful example to my two children. I take comfort in the knowledge that he now resides in a better place and that one day we will see each other again. It is never easy to lose a loved one. And yet in time the hurt and sense of loss will lessen. No, it will never go away. But as long as we remember, Joe is still a daily part of our lives. As his Uncle I thank all of the people who have taken the time to leave their thoughts, well wishes and prayers here. To those of us who remain ... we will honor his life and remember the very best of times. God bless ... Jeff Dyer
