Having enlisted at age 16 in 1958......... I found myself assigned as the Base Fire Chief at NKP, Thailand in 1972, after 2 tours in Vietnam. While in the middle of the war.............Line Backer II I was inspected by PACAF and 13 AF and they said my Fire Dept was bad. Col. Wayne told them to get the hell off his Base and never come back ! He called me into his office and said "Fuck those assholes!!" And if I needed anything..........come to see him! I made CMSgt! Thank you Col. Wayne! |
