Be Thou At Peace

| I was the orderly room clerk for the 357th from 29 Jan 1966 to 20 Jan 1967 and had the great privilege of serving under Col. Wayne at that time. I believe he was the fairest officer I ever served under. He made everyone feel important from the lowest ranking Airmen to the highest ranking officer. Without a doubt the year I spent in the 357th was my most enjoyable time in the Air Force. I hope that Col. Wayne will always Rest in Peace along with all the other fine officers and airmen who served in the 357th who have now passed. God Bless you all and thank you Col. Wayne for helping a scared 19 year old get through a rough time and treating me so well. |
