Dear Carr family, I am saddened to learn of Col. Carr's passing. As his daughter Adrienne's brother-in-law, I long felt (through my father's USNA and Navy career experience) a kinship with the life of a similar military family. We only met a couple of times, once to watch the Army-Navy game on TV at the Blacksburg house, so I hope that (finally!) the Army victory over Navy on 10 December after such a long campaign of disappointment gave the good colonel some well-deserved satisfaction.
