Silver Star AWARDED FOR ACTIONS DURING Korean War Service: Army Rank: First Lieutenant Division: 1st Cavalry Division GENERAL ORDERS: Headquarters, 1st Cavalry Division, General Orders No. 173 (1950) CITATION: (Citation Needed) - SYNOPSIS: First Lieutenant (Infantry) John Franklin Forrest, United States Army, was awarded the Silver Star for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action against the enemy while serving with the 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, in Korea. GENERAL ORDERS: Headquarters, Eighth U.S. Army, Korea: General Orders No. 115 (1951) & 193 (1951) CITATION: (Citation Needed) - SYNOPSIS: First Lieutenant (Infantry) John Franklin Forrest, United States Army, was awarded a Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster in lieu of a Second Award of the Silver Star for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action against the enemy while serving with the 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, in Korea. |
