Be Thou At Peace

Mary Lou Illges Brown, 72, daughter of Abraham and Virginia Illges, passed away January 21, 2002 in Jacksonville Beach, FL.

She is survived by her husband, Allan, whom she married in 1950, her son, Stephen, her daughter, Virginia, and her eight grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her two sons, Allan Jr. and Robert.

She was born in Columbus, GA on February 1, 1930.

After attending public school she studied at the University of Georgia where she was a founding member of the UGA chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.

While living in Chatanooga, TN, she served as president of the Jr. League.

Later she resided in Atlanta, GA, Atlantic Beach, FL, and Neptune Beach, FL.

At the time of her passing, she was the President of the Casa Marina Hotel in Jacksonville Beach, FL.
She was both the motivation and inspiration in returning the old hotel to its former historical condition.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 28, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. at the Casa Marina Hotel, 691 N. 1st Street, Jacksonville Beach, FL. (904) 270-0025.
