I was fortunate to be in the same company, G-2, as Mike, a fellow Texan. Mike was cool under adversity. He was "cool" before cool was popular. Nothing seemed to phase him. He was the kind of guy you wanted to be around. Everything seemed better if Mike was there. His happy, friendly attitude was contagious. I ran across a phrase in a lawsuit one time, that after going to the dictionary, fit Mike perfectly. That phrase was "a jocund, refulgent personality coruscating on others." Go ahead, look it up. Mike was big-hearted. He would do anything you asked him to do. He would even ask if he could do something for you. The world will miss Mike Davis. |
