This is to belatedly thank Ray Eineigl for the inspiration he provided and the leadership he offered...to a 17-year-old Plebe (when Ray was King of the Beasts), later to a young Captain (during Ray's time in the Advanced Course) and finally to a field grade officer (when Ray was a brigade commander and a district engineer). Dedicated, fair, accountable, helpful, aggressive yet pleasant, he was everything that one looks for and respects in a senior officer and that one admires in a human being. Scott Smith '56 |
