My Father....Quiet strength. Dignified reserve. Loyalty and trust beyond reproach. Good listener. Army his first love. Handsome as all get out. Energetic to "get on with it". Pocket knife. Handkerchief. Cigarettes. Waving to passerbyes. Andy Griffith in Mayberry with a little Bonanza thrown in. These are things we see of my father, but they are not all the things that made him who he was. He loved deeply and passionately, but sometimes struggled to show others how much they truly meant to him. He left this world the same way he lived, with quiet dignity.
