Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Scott Fuller on June 9, 2010:

He was my mentor, my friend, my hero. He was my father.

I often think of the days when we lived on Battersea Lane near Mount Vernon. We were a young family. Our dog would run in the yard of green grass with the wind blowing. Dad was always busy working and doing things to make the house a wonderful home for us. Those were the days I remember most.

I remember when my father started up a youth wrestling club. We were a new team who surprised the region by winning our matches. Why? Because my father was such a great coach. He was the best. Parents would take him aside and tell him how much they appreciated his work. Their sons had changed so very much for the better.

I have thousands of memories of times we spent together.

I will miss him.
