Be Thou At Peace

| My best memories of my father are the private times we went for walks or sat on the patio and talked about life in general. My father was full of stories about his childhood and his military life. I loved to hear every detail. The best advice he ever gave me was not to "hate" because it would keep you from living a happy life. Good words to live by. He was always happy to see people and loved being outdoors. He loved his family and he loved the military; duty, honor, country. We may have lost a husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather but heaven has gained a truly remarkable man. My sister described him best; quiet reserve. We will all miss him very much. |
