| I was very saddened by the announcement of John C. Bard?s death. I enjoyed my friendship with John, more during the years living in Washington D.C. I thought of John as a gifted leader of men, his military bearing and devotion to duty and his fairness to all with whom he had contact. He did not deserve to be struck down in the street by a teenager with a history of drug use. I will always think of John C. Bard on 28 June, as that is the day of my birthday and John?s death. |
