Be Thou At Peace

| 15 years ago my grade school had a "Bring your Grandparent to School" day. Needless to say when I managed to bring in the Col. Ret. Warren Palmer- many heads were turned. Whenever he talked I always felt compelled to listen. I never knew if I would learn how to properly identify a car at night for a police report, or learn about his childhood during the Great Depression: "I ate very well, it was hard to complain". I will always view him as an amazing role model, and will remember him always. |
