Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Phil Weatherby on August 11, 2009:

Today, as I did last year on the day you passed away, I called Shirl. She said she knew I would call her today. She is much better now, as she has moved through the grief process more than she had previously. Sad as it may be for her we are glad to see her move more towards acceptance. Joy, oh joy, now she has added to the family with two six week old puppies.....that's right, VIP, not one but two.....Gee Gee and Cissy...... and this we know you will just love.....they were in bed with Shirl and one of them bit her on her rear. She said it sure made her get out of the bed quickly.
We miss you when we stop to visit going through San Antonio. We always sleep in "our room" as Shirl says....you know the one with your picture on the wall, and yes, we always say, Goodnite VIP before we go to sleep. Rest in peace dear friend. We miss you but always say your spirit is with us all when Yale and Shirl and I are out together.
Blessings, Phil and Yale
