I am Sheldon Burnett's Godson. Colonel Burnett served with my Father, Dan H. Williamson, Jr '49, on the Armor Board and then at the Pentagon, before Colonel Burnett's last deployment. "Shelly" and "Marge" as my Mother, Olwen Williamson, called them, were asked to be my Godparents while the Burnett's were at Fort Knox, where I was born in 1964. They were very highly thought of by my parents. I have no memory of Colonel Burnett, but remember visiting his wife and children in New Hampshire in the early 1970s. I remember playing with his son Steven. I remember the sad news of Steven's passing. I didn't know that Colonel Burnett's remains were recovered or that his Wife, Margaret Burnett, was gone until June 2010. I pray for them and cherish that they were so kind to me and my family.
