Be Thou At Peace

Posted by PETER FIKARIS on January 18, 2012:

It is with deep sorrow that I take this opportunity to remember my wonderful Classmate and friend...Bob Blitch. We first met as teammates on our plebe baseball team in the spring of 1952 and I really liked Bob right from the start, he being a Texan and me being an Okie, we had a commom southwestern bond. We continued to keep in touch througout the next 3 years of our life at West Point and ended our stay by sitting next to each other at our graduation ceremony. I told Blitch that he was always a step ahead of me since he was one file up from me in the graduation rank. Years later we renewed our friendship during fishing expeditions every year on Padre Island, TX with our unforgetable host, Skip Massey. Blitch, I will really miss you....and may GOD REST YOUR SOUL AND MAY YOUR MEMORY BE ETERNAL!!
Your Classmate and friend,
THE GREEK
