Be Thou At Peace

Posted by James Heye on January 18, 2012:

Bob and I crossed paths, September of Plebe year, trying out for the freshman baseball team. Bob played first base, and from that time on, Bob was always the first baseman that I most enjoyed playing with. After all, we were both from Texas. We both continued to play ball on our summer trips to the varous installations that the Class toured.

We both went Air Force. And, doesn't it seem a little strange that we knocked around all of those years flying airplanes and never served concurrently with each other. Sorry I missed out on that.

So Bob, enjoy your gift of an enternal reward. And if there is ever a pick-up ball game some time in Haeaven, count on seeing me playing on your team.....Jimmy Hi
