It is with sadness that I read about the death of Ken Ikeda. We roomed for two years, including first class year when he was my platoon sergeant. Our other roommate was Bob Soper, our cadet lieutenant and platoon leader, also deceased, sadly. Ken, like Bob, was a born leader and scholar. My prayers go to Ken, to his widow, Jane, and his family, as mine did to Bob and his widow and family. Well done, my comrades. May God grant that I can be worthy to join you in The Long Gray Line in "the shadows." |
