Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Richard P Sevier on April 10, 2011:

Frank Donald and I were initiated into Sigma Nu together at Louisiana State University in 1949. I hadn't thought of Frank in years until I drove through his home town of Selma, Alabama last week. Today I decided to "Google" him and found the sad news of his death.

It may surprise some folks to know that Frank attended LSU for about three years until he went to West Point in 1951. I for one did not remember that he had gone to West Point, although I always wondered what happened to him.

Frank was an outstanding individual and one of my best friends in the fraternity. We used to tease Frank about how he pronounced the word "butter." It always came out something like "burr", but with his superb sense of humor the teasing did not bother him in the least.

May God rest his soul.
