Walt Campbell's funeral service took place Saturday July 9th at 10:00 at the grave site in Kirkwood Cemetery, London, Ohio. This cemetery is the traditional burial site for the Campbell family and also Mary Ann's side of the family. Mary Ann's children and their spouses were present, as well as uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and friends. The service was conducted under a bright, cloudless sky by a long time friend who Mary Ann has known since high school days. The service included many of the passages used for the memorial service April 28th in Falls Church that had been picked by Walt. After the service, Vern Pace, the other classmate present, and I were invited to the family luncheon and had the opportunity to chat about Walt and West Point.
