Henry L. "Sandy" Sanderson July 21, 1930 to July 5, 2010 Longtime part-time Crested Butte resident Sandy Sanderson passed away July 5, 2010 in Crested Butte. A 1955 graduate of the West Point Military Academy, Sanderson was born in Audubon, N.J. and attended Rutgers University. He worked as an engineer with I.B.M. in Chicago for many years. He is survived by his two daughters, four grandchildren and "good buddy" Maren Palmer. His wife, Janie, preceded him in death in 1989. A military burial was held at West Point on July 13. A celebration of Sandy's life will be held at the Union Congregational Church in Crested Butte at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 20. |
