| Jerry was everyone's friend. One of the good guys, who always had something nice to say. When I spoke with him a few weeks ago he was trying to encourage me to join the celebration for our newly designated distinguished graduate, Kelly. I was outside mowing my lawn at the time, and Jerry was concerned about my overdoing it. He cautioned me to be careful, and noted his concern for Dorothy who was experiencing some heart problems. Never did he mention any personal distress. That conversation will remain with me for the rest of my life. |
