Yearling year, I had the good fortune to be with Gerry Brown at Camp Buckner, Company C-10. I always have the same image of Gerry everytime his name is mentioned: standing there with his shirt off; a string of BAR ammunition draped over his neck; carry that BAR weapon around like it was a tooth pick. You WOW'ed me Gerry. What a mountain of a man. After that Yearling summer, we seldom crossed paths again. My bad fortune. God rest your soul Gerry Brown! Respectively, Jimmy Hi |
