The graveside service for Colonel (Ret) Dempsie Davis was held this morning at the USAFA under bright skies and beautiful weather. Sally and the immediate family along with friends from South Carolina were in attendance. The Air Force members presented full military honors for Dempsie and were at "Old Guard" standards. His granddaughters did readings. Col (Ret) Peggy Hillebrandt , Dempsie's daughter, was USAFA Class of 1980 and did all the arrangements. I passed condolences to Sally on behalf of our class.
