| Godwin Ordway, or Ski as all his friends called him, and I met at Stuart Field 53 years ago. And as luck would have it we both played on the Army Prep School Football team there. Ski played end and I played tackle. These days they call them wide receivers. What great times we had, especially the trip to Bermuda to play the Air Force Base team. I don't remember whether we won orlost but what a fine time Ski, I and the rest of the team had. But I do know Ski was a winner then as he was during life. Fare well good friend and be thou at peace. |
