Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Doc Bahnsen on December 24, 2002:

"Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind.
No one grows old by merely living a number of years.
You grow old by by deserting your ideals, your hopes and your dreams-"

I cannot find the rest of this poem on my book shelf. These words were on my mind when I read that Doug had died. They are in my thoughts as we all play in the 4th quarter of life. Doug Johnson will be missed greatly as he cared deeply about his classmates. He passed information over the net on all our ailments which was timely and considerate and superbly reseached. He was never too busy to answer a message and to give the correct poop. As sick as Doug was in recent years, he never gave up hope, his ideals, or his dreams. He cared about his friends and comrades, as he did his family. We can all learn from Doug's life----he set an example of truly caring that will be difficult to duplicate. I will miss him -----Well done Doug my friend!
