Be Thou At Peace

Posted by scott smith on April 5, 2005:

I only knew Bob as a Cadet. That was my misfortune; I'm certain that as he matured, the qualities that I recall only got more pronounced and he became more of a joy to associate with. Bob was a terror in Plebe Boxing; he was the first man to ever bloody my nose and he was quite concerned when he did. He enjoyed being with classmates who seemed to be down (as I was from time to time), and his attitude, smile and approach to life were calming and focused. He seemed a six-foot version of Puck, at times...and "self" wasn't in his vocabulary. Thoroughly admirable. Deeply worthy. Sincerely missed.
