Be Thou At Peace

| When Lu and I married in our small hometown in Texas in April 1957, Jim was a member of the wedding party. He was home visiting his family in a nearby city. For almost fifty-five years, our wedding picture, with Jim spiffy in his tan uniform and wearing a big smile, has been on prominent display wherever we were living. He not only helped us start life together, but by the nicest of coincidences he also shared our first assignment in Berlin, Germany. So, while we didn't see him often after that, he has always been a special part of our "family." The wedding photo remains to ever remind us of a good man, friend, and classmate. |
