Tom: We first really got to know one another as commanders at Fort Hood. I came to admire greatly your dedication to your Troopers, your valor in combat, and your everyday commitment to the Army and your family. I remember once when you saved the lives of some of your Troopers when that APC overturned in flooded Cowhouse Creek. It was a remarkable act of courage and selflessness...and typical of you. I was, and am, proud to be your classmate...and your friend. May you be enjoying the Lord's grace. Scott |
