| As a mustang officer I only had the privilege of getting to know Bud electronically. But from the exchanges I had with him across the years, I regret that we never had the opportunity to personally meet one another. On the other hand, one can be especially proud if one leaves behind a legacy that is admired and respected by those with whom he has had remote contact and yet still leaves an effect. An old Creek Indian expression goes that everyone should strive to leave a footprint in the sands of life. Bud Miller left his in the sands of time, especially in the minds of all of us who benefitted from his counsel. |
