Bud Miller was an active member of the West Point Forum. Here, we exchanged ideas and opinions -- and Bud was one source of sound observations, logical arguments and serious analysis. We could always count on him to give us a fair evaluation of the issues at hand. Through his many emails, we learned that Bud was a down-to-earth guy with a wealth of experience and we all reaped the benefit of his thoughts. We all learned a lot from Bud, and we shall miss him for a long, long time. We are sad that he has left us, yet we rejoice that he is now in the presence of the Almighty. My final salute to you, sir!
