I had the opportunity to be in Don's orbit only a few times. He was a fully-engaed man of genuine self-effacing good humor and his ability to adapt to a setting was remarkable - very comfortable in his own skin, and with the easiest smile. During conversation, how many other people made us feel that we were the center of his universe? Everyone should have the opportunity to know at least one man like Don Barlow. But there was only one. |
