I've known Don since 1946 in Batavia, NY. I learned early that Don was a very competitive person. He beat me in the 1947 Soap Box Derby for 1st place. I was second. Don was the 5th man on the BHS basketball team and I was the sixth. He also beat me out for Sr. class treasurer, so you can see I knew Don well and was proud to have known him all these years. Don was a hard-working lovable guy who will always be remembered for a distinguished life and career. Don will be missed, he did make a difference!
