Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Robie McLamb on August 20, 2011:

I was so sorry to hear of Mr. Barlow's passing. I worked with many bosses at NC Revenue but he was the best!! I knew early on that he was a man of integerity, fairness and possessed leadership qualities unrivaled by others. He was a good listener and appreciated a good laugh. He spoke often about his loving family. He endured many changes at Revenue due to the political nature of things. He had staying power in spite of changes at the top. Each Secretary came to realize that Don Barlow was a keeper. He rose above the politics and taking sides. He was there to do a job and he did it well. He was always there, not only as a boss - but as a friend. He will be missed. May you find comfort in the coming days. We will be thinking of you. May God Bless.
