Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Connor Bertocci on July 31, 2011:

A true hero that kept his medals and trophies hidden away,
in a humble case, with more interest in what you had to say.

There are not enough words to describe his essenece,
but in our hearts he has engraved his presence.

He was a friend, husband, father, and granddad.
All who knew him are lucky and should be glad.

To have been with the kindest man to this day,
who worked so hard and never did anything halfway.

He honorably served our country with pride and dignity.
His effect on our lives will forever preserve his identity.

A true role model on how to be a perfect man...
he showed us not what we can't do, but what we can.

In heaven he wishes all the sadness to be shed,
with a big smile and his Army hat proudly upon his head.
