Gerry was a graduate of the USAMAPS and a member of K-1. He was a professional soldier and did his duty in an outstanding manner. He was killed in Vietnam advising his South Vietnamese unit. He has been memorialized with a plaque that is presented annually to the outstanding company of the Prep School by members of K-1 1958 members. In the Register of Graduates,it does not show the award of the PH which it should, and Gerry was probably awarded the BSM again not shown. Since he was an infantryman in an American unit, he was probaly also awarded the CIB before being assigned to the ARVN unit. May he rest in peace. |
